Hilltop Holdings is looking for a Systems Engineer Associate to support DevOps processes with CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Tidal Scheduler and Axway. Works with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, support deployments, and build foundational skills in automation and monitoring.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in DevOps, IT, or software engineering roles (including internships).
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
  • Familiarity with Git version control systems.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of containerization (Docker).
  • Fundamental scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in DevOps practices.

Preferred Certifications

  • Azure Fundamentals or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (or working toward certification)
  • Entry-level DevOps or cloud certifications are a plus.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
  • Assist and support with Tidal Scheduler and Axway SFTP platform.
  • Support infrastructure provisioning and configuration under guidance.
  • Participate in managing containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Monitor systems and assist in troubleshooting performance and reliability issues.
  • Support implementation of logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support DevOps practices.
  • Follow established security and operational best practices.
  • Document processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Participate in incident response and troubleshooting activities.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
  • Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and DevOps practices.
