Position Summary:
The Associate II, Warehouse Operations, is responsible for performing daily warehousing and logistics activities including the receipt, storage, picking, packing and shipping of material(s) in a cGMP environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Loading and unloading trucks via material handling equipment.
- Receiving inbound material including but not limited to the breakdown of pallets, labeling of materials, and processing inbound Purchase Orders utilizing Ocular Therapeutix's ERP system.
- Accurately storing materials in their designated Storage Location physically and systematically within Ocular Therapeutix's ERP system.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control on the release of incoming materials requiring inspection.
- Fulfillment of material requests to Manufacturing, Engineering, Development, and other relevant departments.
- Accurately transact material movements within Ocular Therapeutix's ERP system.
- Initiate and/or collaborate on Non-Conforming Material Reports, and Deviations relating to Warehousing & Logistics activities.
- Prepare and process material for outbound shipping including but not limited to the packaging and labeling of material, scheduling/coordination of truck pickups, processing small parcel shipments, and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed accurately.
- Perform cycle counts, restock consumables, and maintain an accurate inventory of cGMP and non-cGMP material.
- Assist in identifying and resolving inventory
- Maintain compliance with cGMP regulations, EHS safety standards, and company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualification Requirements:
- High School Diploma with 2-4 years of warehouse experience
- Strong Excel skills required
- Ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments
- Demonstrable experience in Good Documentation Practices
- Strong analytical skills required
- Must be highly detail-orientated
- Must be able to thrive in an environment of frequent changes
- Must have a strong sense of ownership and be able to drive issues to closure
- Must be a self-starter who is hands-on with projects and assignments
- Experience with shipping domestically and internationally
- Experience utilizing FedEx Ship Manager and/or UPS Worldship
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, QAD or other ERP systems
