Job description

At Ausland Group, we don't just design and build structures - we deliver world-class development, locally scaled for our community. Headquartered in Southern Oregon, we bring architecture, engineering, and construction together under one roof to deliver projects with unmatched efficiency and creativity. From cutting-edge commercial spaces to cultural icons that shape communities, our work blends vision, precision, and innovation.

Join a team where your ideas don't just live on paper - they rise from the ground up.

We're seeking a Licensed Senior Architect / Project Manager to lead design vision and execution on high-profile projects across the Pacific Northwest. In this role, you'll shape projects from concept through construction, mentor design staff, and collaborate directly with engineering and construction teams to deliver seamless, buildable solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Drive design development, technical documentation, and quality control for a variety of commercial, civic, and cultural projects.
  • Oversee project teams, ensuring design intent, schedule, and budget alignment.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for design-related matters.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations staff in a fully integrated Design+Build environment.
  • Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering technical excellence and creative problem-solving.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Active architectural license in Oregon (or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months).
  • 8+ years of professional experience, including project leadership.
  • Proven expertise in Revit and familiarity with the full suite of Autodesk tools.
  • Deep knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction methods.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Sitting (or driving) in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
  • Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), i.e.: using a keyboard.
  • Ability to see within normal parameters.
  • Ability to hear within normal range.
  • Ability to move about a construction site including, but not limited to: climbing ladders and scaffolds, and walk over uneven terrain.
Perks & Benefits
  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance
  • $15,000 life insurance policy
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Fitness and wellness membership allowance
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
  • Paid professional memberships and licensure
  • Company celebrations and social events
  • Annual employee recognition, gifts, and swag
  • Flexible work environment accommodations, valuing work-life balance
