Job SummaryAre you passionate about transportation? T.Y. Lin is looking for a Transportation/Traffic Engineering Intern to join our Chicago office for the Summer of 2026. As an intern on our City Solutions Team, you'll gain the opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse infrastructure projects focused on multimodal transportation plans that support communities and transformational real estate developments. Our work includes diverse, high-profile projects around the country for public and private sector clients, and we meet our clients' needs through an interdisciplinary approach to planning and engineering. What You Will Do

  • Conduct site visits, field observations to gather data and provide research

  • Perform traffic, pedestrian, parking and safety analyses

  • Create and develop maps, reports, presentations, and graphics

  • Contribute to problem-solving efforts to address project-related issues

  • Draft and finalize detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations

  • Familiarity with traffic planning/analysis software (HCS, Synchro/Sim Traffic) and drafting software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) Preferred
