Job description

Job Summary:
Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology dedicated to alleviating pain and restoring health. They are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to lead testing efforts for innovative medical devices, ensuring high-quality software delivery that meets regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
• As a member of the scrum team, own features from manual and automated testing perspective.
• Co-ordinate with Test Lead and other developers in identifying the scope of testing and provide estimates
• Define, plan, organize and coordinate testing activities for owned features and areas and ensure high quality features are delivered following IEC 62304/82304.
• Be able to raise defects in case of failing test scenarios and provide adequate information for debugging and resolving reported issues.
• Automate the qualifying test case in-house developed framework built on Robot Framework and Python
• Work with other team members and contribute towards major milestone delivery like Regression Cycles, Alpha and End-Game testing
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline and a minimum of 4 years of Software Development experience OR a Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of Software Development experience
• Previous experience as Software Test Engineer preferably in medical device industry
• Experience with agile software development teams
• Hands-on experience in software testing, automation, regression testing and maintenance for software products.
• Hands-on experience in Python and/or Robot Framework
• Experience in creating software test plans, test cases, test reports and bug reporting
• Experience with Linux operating system and/or QT
Preferred:
• Agile SAFe training/experience
• Cogent, concise written communication
• Familiarity with Agile testing quadrants
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks – such as Squish
• Familiarity with gRPC protocol
• Understanding of ALM tools (e.g. JIRA, CodeBeamer, Azure DevOps)
• Understanding of modern DevOps tools like Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins.
