ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Software Engineering Lead to join our Automotive Electronic Products (AEP) team as part of CompalUSA, work based in Goleta California. A hybrid work model combining the flexibility of remote work at home with the benefits of on-site collaboration in the Goleta, CA development facility will be employed. The Software Engineering Lead will be responsible for all aspects of software engineering, including software development, integration and test, problem-solving, and team collaboration.

Major responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of design, development, prototyping and validating of infrared camera software and test software applications in support of both product development and manufacturing. Coordinate internal and external developmental resources. Execute software development tasks to meet both internal and external customer needs reporting to the Integration and Test Director. Mentor young engineers and engineering interns.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 15+ years experience integrating and testing automotive safety systems
  • Education: BS in Computer Science, Robotics, or other relevant discipline
  • Expert in C, C++ coding coupled with effective software configuration management
  • Lead development of quality software and validation processes
  • Management of internal and external development resources to planned schedule
  • Proven track record developing and deploying quality camera software and camera related test software, e.g., camera calibration and performance measurements
  • Experience developing effective Design Verification and Process Validation test software
  • Knowledge of MIPI CSI-2, GMSL2, FPD-Link, CAN and 1000-BaseT1 camera interfaces along with tamper protection and cybersecurity methodologies
  • Agile software development experience
