Ultra is seeking a talented, highly motivated college student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with a software concentration.

The ideal candidate has experience developing C/C++ applications in Linux, preferably Red Hat Linux.

Other activities, responsibilities and qualities of the candidate are:

  • Works in the Agile/Scrum development methodology
  • Responsible for the design, modification, and implementation of software programs to meet the requirements and constraints of the customer scope of work
  • Understanding of computer science fundamentalsin data structures, algorithm design and object-oriented design
  • Receives direction from an immediate supervisor and works within a project team to accomplish deliverables for a program.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • In school working on a degree inComputer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with a concentration in software development
  • 1+ years of software development experienceusing C, C++ and/or Java
  • 1+ years of software development experience using a Linux Operating System

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in software development using Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Proficiency in C and C++
  • Experience with Git and/or Subversion Version Control Systems
  • Experience with Agile Development process
  • Experience developing real-time multi-process applications
