Their role often involves creating content, moderating forums, responding to feedback, and fostering collaboration among developers.

How does a developer community manager typically collaborate with product and engineering teams?

A Developer Community Manager often serves as a crucial bridge between the developer community and internal product or engineering teams. They relay feedback, bug reports, and feature requests from users to help shape product roadmaps, while also gathering technical insights from engineers to communicate effectively with the community. Department: Community (Marketing)ย
Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000 annually
Type: Full-Time, Salaried

About the Role

Bubble is seeking a highly organized, creative, and relationship-driven Community Manager to join our growing Community team and help bring our community ecosystem to life. This role will support and manage programs across our ambassadors, college representatives, Insiders, parents, and broader community of brand loyalists.

The Community Manager will play a hands-on role in building meaningful relationships, driving engagement, coordinating events and activations, and creating memorable experiences that turn community members into lifelong Bubble advocates.

This is a highly collaborative and execution-focused role, working closely with Community leadership and cross-functional partners across Influencer, Social, Creative, PR, Brand, and Commercial. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable jumping into the details of an event or community activation as they are developing a new engagement idea or identifying ways to make our programs stronger.

This is not a Social Media-focused role. The focus is on building and nurturing Bubble's community, managing ambassador and campus programs, executing community-led events and activations, and creating meaningful experiences that strengthen brand loyalty.

Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Strategy & Engagement
  • Manage day-to-day engagement and moderation across Bubble's Insider and ambassador communities, ensuring members feel heard, valued, and connected to the brand.
  • Develop and execute recurring community engagement initiatives, including weekly challenges, discussions, Q&As, product education, brand updates, and other programming.
  • Plan and facilitate weekly community discussions and monthly virtual events designed to foster meaningful dialogue and strengthen community connection.
  • Lead personalized outreach, surprise & delight initiatives, and other community touchpoints that drive engagement and retention.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the community experience and introduce new ideas, programs, and approaches to test and learn.
  • Embody Bubble's brand voice and values across all community interactions.
Ambassador & Community Programs
  • Support the ongoing growth and development of Bubble's ambassador ecosystem, including segmentation, engagement, communications, and relationship management.
  • Manage ambassador communications and programming around key brand moments, product launches, campaigns, and community initiatives.
  • Support the development and execution of Bubble's Parent Ambassador program, including recruitment, focus groups, communications, and engagement strategy.
  • Review and evaluate UGC submissions against established guidelines and criteria, approving or denying content as appropriate.
  • Partner with Influencer and Social teams to identify standout community members and creators for potential partnerships and elevated brand opportunities.
  • Manage community product gifting and gratis requests, including submitting, tracking, and confirming inventory and product receipt.
College & Campus Community
  • Support the development and execution of Bubble's campus ambassador programming across priority schools.
  • Build strong relationships with student representatives, organizations, and campus communities to help Bubble remain culturally relevant and connected on college campuses.
  • Coordinate campus programming, communications, events, and activations in partnership with internal teams.
  • Support campus ambassador communications, playbooks, challenges, and engagement initiatives.
Events & Community Activations
  • Coordinate and execute IRL community events, pop-ups, campus activations, and other community-led experiences from planning through completion.
  • Manage event logistics including RSVPs, email confirmations, supplies, custom items, Bubble products, merchandise, shipping, and on-site needs.
  • Plan and execute virtual community events and experiences.
  • Ensure all community activations are organized, on-brand, and deliver a memorable experience for participants.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors as needed to bring community programming to life.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Campaign Execution
  • Collaborate closely with Influencer, Social, Creative, PR, Brand, and Commercial teams to integrate community into broader marketing initiatives.
  • Lead community-related brief management, tracking the progress and status of social, digital, creative, and campaign assets.
  • Develop clear and compelling briefs and communications for ambassadors and community members that encourage authentic, on-brand participation.
  • Help bring community voices and insights into product launches, campaigns, experiential moments, and brand storytelling.
Community Channels & Communication
  • Manage Bubble Insider community experience channels, ensuring member questions and inquiries are addressed in a timely and thoughtful manner.
  • Support management of Bubble's Insider Instagram community, including responding to tags and DMs and engaging with relevant community content.
  • Monitor community conversations and surface trends, feedback, challenges, and opportunities to Community leadership.
  • Maintain a consistent, authentic, and engaging Bubble voice across all community communications.
Reporting & Operations
  • Maintain accurate tracking across community programs, events, ambassador engagement, product gifting, and other initiatives.
  • Support weekly and monthly reporting across community programs, tracking KPIs such as engagement, participation, content volume, and sentiment.
  • Use community insights and performance data to inform future programming and optimize initiatives.
  • Ensure community tools, trackers, processes, and systems remain organized and efficient.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Who You Are
  • 5-7 years of experience in community, influencer, experiential, brand, social, or related marketing roles, ideally within beauty, skincare, fashion, retail, or consumer brands.
  • Experience working in a community-oriented role, preferably within a fast-paced or startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of Gen Z culture, consumer behavior, and the evolving beauty and social landscape.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging, on-brand copy.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple programs, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A natural relationship-builder who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and creating meaningful brand experiences.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution and getting into the details when needed.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and proactively solves problems.
  • Solution-oriented and resourceful, with the ability to think creatively when faced with challenges.
  • Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally with a variety of teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working occasional evenings and weekends to support community events and programming.
  • Passionate about building community and turning customers into enthusiastic, long-term brand advocates.
  • Experience with Figma or other design tools is a plus.
