NTA, Inc. is seeking a Software (SW) Engineer to support research, development, and engineering activities at Redstone Arsenal. Job responsibilities include development, integration, and maintenance of software supporting guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems for U.S. Army systems. This position supports the Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) in aviation and missile system research and development.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • 3 + years of experience

Required:
  • Experience with C and/or C++
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with source code version control tools and issue tracking systems
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented software design principles (e.g., SOLID)
  • Independent and self-motivated, problem solver, strategic thinker

Desired:
  • Experience with other programming languages, including Fortran and Ada
  • Experience with Graphical User Interface (GUI) design and development
  • Experience with real-time systems and software
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems

A high level of computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required, along with organizational, managerial, written, and verbal communication skills. Applicant should be detail oriented with good analytical skills, a team player, and able to handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
Applicant must have a current security clearance or be able to obtain a security clearance through a government security investigation. U.S. Citizenship is required.
