Job description

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? Well, we pump peanut butter into your jar, and the oil in your car. We glue the soles of your shoes, the glass in your windows and the screen on your phone. We spray the finish on your vehicle, coatings on your pills, the paint on your house and texture on your walls. Graco is part of your daily life.

What You Will Do at Graco

  • Build an integrator channel by working with assigned accounts and developing new accounts with engineering service businesses that develop customized systems using Sealant and Adhesive Equipment (SAE) and Liquid Finishing (LF) products in the automotive industry.
  • Develop new accounts and quote strategy by applying knowledge of Graco technology solutions for customer needs.
  • Work with the Graco internal applications engineering and solutions team to provide application and process recommendations to this integrator channel.
  • Manage projects across RFQ stage, commissioning of the job, and install.
  • Support and coordinate multiple projects from the mechanical, electrical and automation standpoint.
  • Support Integrators during Graco equipment installations within the U.S. and/or overseas.
  • Train new channel of Integrators in our existing and new products.
  • Collaborate with and achieve buy-in from internal stakeholders including cross-functional teams as well as core sales team, other market development teams and internal support teams to carry out the mission of the Industrial Division.
  • Work with the following tools/technologies/processes: paint circulation systems, close loop flow control, PLC communication, Electrostatic spray systems, and positive displacement technology.

What You Will Bring to Graco

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Managing projects across the request for quote (RFQ) process, including creating bills of materials to deliver an accurate solution according to customer requirements. 2) Supporting the integration of Sealant and Adhesive Equipment (SAE) and Liquid Finishing (LF) products into OEM automotive factories. 3) Designing circulation systems, selecting proportioners, and assisting with calibration of applicators to robots and PLCs. 4) Working with the following: paint circulation systems, close loop flow control systems, PLC communication, Paint 1K, 2K Automatic Equipment, Electrostatic spray systems, and positive displacement technology. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Telecommute position based in the Detroit, MI metro area to service automotive customers. Reports to company HQ at 88 11th Avenue NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Travel required: 40% (domestic) and 10% (international, Canada/Mexico) for system commissioning and equipment installation.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.

Salary: $133,744 to $138,744/year.
