Fyda Freightliner Columbusis anElite Support Certifieddealer of new Freightliner trucks and Crane Carrier vocational severe-service vehicles, and carries a large inventory of all-makes of pre-owned trucks. Fyda Freightliner Columbus is the largest retailer of new and used Expediters in the United States. Serving the Columbus transportation industry hub since 1985, we operate as a full-service commercial truck dealership and body shop.


The primary duties of a Diesel Technician include performing diagnostic tests to find faults, analyzing diagnostic results, and making necessary repairs.

  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results.
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems, ETC
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
  • Maintaining a parts inventory.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Heavy Duty Diesel Technician experience
  • Clean Valid Drivers License
