Job description

Pay Rate: $35.20 / hour
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a part time Substance Use Disorder Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team at Jessup Correctional Institution (JCI) located in Jessup, Maryland.
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) employees support patients in their substance use and detoxification/ recovery process. They also lead recovery groups, build community and relationships.
Shift- part time days 16 hours per week
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) required
  • One year or more of experience working closely with patients and connecting them to resources or an equivalent combination of work and education
  • Experience working in corrections preferred
  • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
