Job description

Regional Store Detective

This position is designated for mobile detective teams and necessitates that personnel remain on their feet while on duty.

Elite Investigations is seeking experienced Store Asset Protection Detective - Loss Prevention Agent(s) candidates for immediate hire if all qualifications are met. Candidates must have 3-5 years minimum experience.

As a mobile detective, you will be held to high standards as a servant of our surrounding communities. You must possess exceptional skills in apprehension, asset protection, and loss prevention. Additionally, you should be able to handle crisis situations at client sites calmly, effectively, and efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for initiating and completing daily reports. As a valuable team member, you will be expected to maintain a strong presence when assigned to our sites.

Some other duties include, but are not limited to:

• Being mobile to various locations daily

• Walking and blending in

• Observing all suspicious activities.

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter theft

• Communicate consistently with your manager on duty regarding any suspicious activity

• Implement loss prevention strategies and procedures to minimize risk

• Monitor and respond to alarms to detect potential theft

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid NYS Security License (required).
  • Highly experienced Store Detective (5+ years at retailers).
  • Must be able to travel throughout the city and Long Island (Nassau) at their own expense.
  • Strong knowledge of loss prevention procedures and protocols
  • Must be willing to work Weekends & afternoon shifts.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to complete apprehension report paperwork consistently and accurately if necessary.
  • Must have strong communication skills, decision-making ability, professionalism, and maturity.
  • Mass Transit Experience is a plus!

Schedule:

  • 1000-1800 / 1200-2000
    • Schedule days, times and locations to be discussed with Management.

Compensation: Compensation for this role is set and is not subject to negotiation.
