Job Summary:
Alertus Technologies is a leader in mass notification committed to providing customizable solutions to protect people from harm. The Product Specialist will develop product knowledge, support technical publications, and assist in product management activities while serving as a subject matter expert.
Responsibilities:
• Work with the Product Management and Sales Engineering Team to develop product knowledge and assist in maintaining Alertus’ many demo environments
• Assist in identifying customer requirements and conveying requirements to the product development teams to ensure requirement understanding
• Conduct market research using tools such as surveys, desktop research, and customer calls to assist in analyzing market trends, customer feedback, and other sources to influence product strategy
• Participate in sales and product meetings as assigned to collaborate and strategize with business and engineering teams
• Demonstrate Alertus’ core products and services as assigned
• Participate in qualifying system integration opportunities and assist in implementing, testing, and documenting integrations
• Assist the Technical Writing Team in drafting and reviewing product documentation
• Participate in product training development and delivery to support Alertus employee professional development
• Assist with new product releases and events
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
• Basic understanding of application programming interfaces (APIs) and webhooks
• Ability to learn complex concepts and communicate them to technical and non-technical individuals
• Energy, passion, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
• Exceptional organization, time management, and prioritization skills
• Unmatched verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to become an expert assigned to Alertus products and services
• Ability to travel on occasion
• BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for required education.
• Academic or practical experience with Java and Python
• Demonstrated ability to articulate the value proposition of product functionalities
