Job description

SCOPE OF POSITION

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join our growing development and innovation team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions, with a strong focus on modern front-end and desktop application development using Electron, Node.js, React, and TypeScript. The successful candidate will independently deliver features, contribute to system design, and support backend integration within the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.

You will play a key role in shaping technical direction, delivering scalable and user-centric applications, and contributing to the evolution of our software platforms.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS


Technology Development

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Electron, Node.js, TypeScript, React, and Redux Toolkit, ensuring high performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Contribute to system architecture, implement key components, and support the evolution of the overall application framework.
  • Provide full stack development support, including integration with backend systems using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server when required.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and user-centric applications aligned with business and project requirements.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Ensure software quality through unit, integration, and regression testing, as well as code reviews.
  • Plan and execute development activities from initiation through delivery, meeting defined timelines and objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and recommend improvements to tools, frameworks, and development practices.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver cohesive products.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making and best practices.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides.
  • Communicate effectively with the Manager and team members regarding progress, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Continuously upgrade technical and domain skills, and support knowledge sharing and cross-training within the team.

Health & Safety

  • Demonstrate commitment to and uphold the company's health and safety culture in all activities.
  • Follow all established safe operating procedures and ensure proper preparation before commencing work.
  • Report any safety incidents, near misses, or hazards promptly to the Manager and HSE Officer.
  • Adhere to all incident reporting protocols and safety guidelines at all times.

  • Proactively identify challenges and opportunities and take initiative to address them or escalate as needed.
  • Communicate operational or technical issues, including system or equipment needs, to the Manager.
  • Contribute positively to team dynamics and support organizational goals.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Required

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript development.
  • Proven experience with React, Redux Toolkit, Node.js and Electron.
  • Working knowledge of Node.js and modern build tools (e.g., Vite)
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server)
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, testing practices, and code quality standards.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong familiarity with common code repository and issue management tools.

Preferred

  • Experience with desktop application development using Electron and GitHub.
  • Familiarity with modern tooling such as to down or similar.
  • Experience working in agile or iterative development environments.
  • Exposure to data visualization or engineering/geotechnical applications.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools is beneficial.
  • UI/UX skills are beneficial.
