Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled design researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of our digital products and services. As a design researcher on the digital team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience and driving innovation within our organization. You will be responsible for gathering and interpreting user insights, conducting user testing, and providing actionable recommendations to improve our digital offerings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of design thinking processes, strong analytical skills, and a passion for creating user-centric solutions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Identify the best methodology to meet the research goals
  • Craft test plans, workshop activities, and interview guides to conduct objective research
  • Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define research goals and study designs
  • Develop and implement research plans, including recruiting participants, moderating sessions, and analyzing data
  • Synthesize research findings and communicate insights through compelling presentations and reports
  • Contribute to the creation of user personas, journey maps, and other design artifacts
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to find market trends and best practices
  • Work closely with designers and product managers to ensure user insights are incorporated throughout the product development lifecycle
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in design, psychology, human-computer interaction, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience working as a design researcher, as part of an agile team
  • Proven experience conducting user research and usability testing for digital products and services at all stages of development
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Familiarity with design thinking principles and methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in research tools and software (e.g., UserTesting.com, Optimal Workshop, SurveyMonkey)
