Creative Design Intern - Personal Care Marketing (Part-Time)

Position Summary

Vantage Specialty Chemicals is seeking a Creative Design Intern to support the Personal Care Marketing team with the development of visual marketing materials, digital graphics, branded content, and other creative assets. This part-time role provides hands-on experience in creative design, product marketing support, brand execution, proofreading, and marketing communications within a global specialty chemicals organization.

This role is ideal for a visually creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated student who is interested in gaining practical experience in design, digital marketing, beauty and personal care trends, and customer-focused marketing.

Position Scope

This role supports the Personal Care Marketing team and works under the direction of the Sr. Creative Services Manager. The Creative Design Intern will assist with creative projects that support product promotions, trade shows, brand awareness, customer engagement, and internal and external marketing communications.                         

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create digital visual designs for use in trade shows, product promotions, branding initiatives, presentations, and other internal and external marketing materials.

  • Develop clear, engaging, and informative visual content that aligns with Vantage brand standards and supports the communication of product and ingredient benefits.

  • Assist with the design and formatting of marketing collateral, sales support tools, event materials, advertisements, digital assets, and customer-facing communications.

  • Partner with the Sr. Creative Services Manager and marketing team to refine visual content and ensure materials are aligned with target audience needs and business objectives.

  • Support proofreading, editing, formatting, and quality review of marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.

  • Assist with creative projects related to product launches, customer engagement, beauty and personal care trends, and brand awareness initiatives.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas to support marketing projects and department priorities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Completion of at least the second year of college coursework preferred.

Experience:

  • Proficient using graphic design or digital content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms preferred.

  • Academic, internship, freelance, or project-based design experience preferred.

  • Interest in beauty, personal care, specialty ingredients, or consumer trends preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Talents

  • Strong visual design skills and creativity.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

  • Ability to apply brand standards and follow creative direction.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable working with cross-functional and global teams in both virtual and in-person environments.
