Job description

This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.

Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.

Pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business, Organizational Development, Library Science, Process Design, or related field

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Familiarity with SharePoint (site structure, metadata, document libraries), MS Forms, and Power Automate preferred

Interest in information architecture, records management, or knowledge management

Ability to document processes clearly and concisely

Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills

Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities

Responsibilities may vary by assignment depending on department and need. The Intern receives assignments from supervising staff. The Manager reviews the Intern's work occasionally. The supervisor reviews each assignment as it is completed. The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines, work in harmony with other people, take direction on each assignment, and give full attention to detail. Independence in working, tact, and diplomacy are required. Sound judgment of Church doctrine, history, organization, policy and protocol are also expected. This intern position will assist with organizing digital content, improving information architecture and Intranet design, and process documentation.

Some standard responsibilities may include:

Assess, build and maintain SharePoint sites

Support creation and refinement of process documentation

Identify and implement opportunities for workflow efficiency

Assist with process documentation

Assist with governance practices for digital content management

Investigate opportunities for using artificial intelligence (AI) to manage documents and help users find information.

Review, audit and archive digital documents for accuracy and compliance

Providing additional support as needed
