The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This senior-level design opportunity is ideal for someone eager to utilize their previous experience in a collaborative, fast-paced design environment. The role focuses on providing critical support to our commercial & design team in the execution of projects. Advanced 3D thinking, extensive POP design experience, POP/POS Industry knowledge, and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as 3D rendering programs, are required.
As a Sr Graphic Designer, you'll be a key part of our design team, helping bring ideas to life through hands-on execution. In this role, you will develop concepts for POP displays & packing for key customers, product launches, and seasonal promotions. In addition, you will also create FPO and production artwork for display and packaging. You will take ownership of organizing project materials, managing project timelines, and maintaining documentation-all while being part of Smurfit Westrock's fully integrated design, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
  • Display & packaging Concept development and ideation
  • Graphic design and development
  • Develop, organize, and assist with customer presentations
  • Construct presentation-quality mockups using wide-format printers and other prototyping tools
  • Maintain well-organized records of project files, instructions, and materials
  • Collaborate with other designers, design leadership, and commercial teams to meet project timelines and deliverables
  • Gain firsthand experience with a turnkey organization - from design, to manufacturing, and to assembly
  • Communicate effectively, follow detailed instructions, and consistently meet deadlines

  • Related experience in POP/POS Display design and production
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop

The salary range for this position is $75,375.00 - $125,625.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 15 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
