Job description

Join a respected construction organization in Columbus, Ohio, where experienced professionals work together to deliver high-quality commercial projects with a strong commitment to safety, accountability, and client relationships. As a Construction Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout while partnering with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership. This is an opportunity for a hands-on project leader who enjoys solving challenges, driving results, and contributing to a team that values professionalism and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects through Preconstruction and closeout, establishing clear execution plans and coordinating priorities across project stakeholders.
  • Build and manage Construction Scheduling, procurement activities, and long-lead material tracking to maintain project momentum and minimize schedule impacts.
  • Oversee Project Budgeting, financial performance, commitments, billing, monthly reporting, and Project Forecasting while identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage Subcontractor Management, project meetings, field coordination, and communication with owners, design teams, vendors, and the Superintendent.
  • Review and administer Change Orders, RFIs, Submittals, Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Contracts, supporting effective change management and accurate project documentation.
Qualifications
  • 4–7 years of construction project management experience, preferably with a General Contractor or construction management firm.
  • Experience delivering Commercial Construction projects valued at approximately $5 million–$50+ million.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation, contract administration, project delivery, and construction practices.
  • Experience with Design-Build, negotiated, or construction management delivery methods.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong financial judgment, organization, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred; valid driver's license and ability to travel to Columbus-area project sites as needed.
