CAD Design Associate

Review preliminary CAD sketches of seating components, focusing on the relationships between automotive seating parts and spatial design considerations; assist in the development of CAD designs for automotive seating systems from initial concepts to pre-production readiness; participate in the CAD design evaluation process for seating systems by comparing digital designs to real-world test results; define basic CAD requirements to ensure seamless integration of seating components and systems; engage in collaborative discussions, review, and suggest improvements on preliminary CAD designs to enhance seating comfort and efficiency; conduct CAD studies related to seating designs to provide recommendations for optimizations, considering factors such as cost, weight, and ease of assembly; and contribute to teams that assess potential design failures in seating (DFMEA) and methods to simplify assembly (DFA) of seating components. Work from different locations as required.

Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or related and 2 years of experience.
