Position Summary: This course introduces students to UX through a broad, interdisciplinary lens of human-centred design with a grounding in investigating the interactions between humans and their natural, social, and designed environments and the associated socio-cultural implications of design including designing for social justice, and designing for equity, diversity and inclusion. By working directly with clients to solve specific design and innovation challenges, students will gain hands-on knowledge of basic design thinking and applied empathy methodologies, collaborative problem-solving and solution development.

• PhD with emphasis in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design or equivalent is preferred
• Teaching experience at the college or university level or experience providing training in UX or equivalent is required
• Graduate level teaching experience is preferred
• Professional experience in UX or equivalent is required
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the classroom is preferred
• Currency with industry best practices and tools relevant to the course is preferred

Salary: $9913.75
