Our team of professionals prepare design plans for new construction and renovation projects in education, healthcare & utility industries, among others. With a long history of working relationships within the St. Louis region, we've also had the opportunity to work on iconic projects such as Busch Stadium, the Gateway Arch, the St. Louis Zoo, City Park - the new MLS Stadium and more! Our St. Louis Civil team is look for an experienced AutoCAD (Civil 3D) Technician with previous experience who is ready to jump in and support the team.
Overview:
Performs detailed drafting and support activities related to the preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and other documents for engineering projects within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties. Typical advancement is based on the quality performance of essential duties and responsibilities. Discretionary advancement is based on employee's actions and accomplishments. This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, this employee is expected to support and answer basic drafting questions of new staff technicians not familiar with client specific requirements.
Essential Duties:
โ€ข Prepare CAD drawings and project documents in accordance with company standards
โ€ข Interpret drawing mark-ups, plans, sketches and specifications and update CAD/Revit files based on plan review comments
โ€ข Coordinate efforts with Project Manager and overall design team
โ€ข Perform specific work assignments in accordance with established schedules and within prescribed budgets.
โ€ข Read and interpret plans, sketches, and specifications.
โ€ข Follow and abide by the DMA employee and safety manuals.
โ€ข Participate and become an active part of a project team.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
โ€ข Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit or comparable software.
โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft Office
โ€ข Proficiency in Bluebeam, or equivalent document management software
Education & Experience
โ€ข An industry relevant associate degree or equivalent education from a two-year college or technical school preferred
โ€ข Possesses a high school diploma and a minimum of 2-year related experience, or a combination of education or work experience
