Job description

Who We are:

Turnstone Construction is an artistic concrete and water feature contractor, established in 1997. We are a collaborative team driven by the natural world and thoughtful design. You can find our work all over the Pacific Northwest from zoos to private residences, highway walls to high end shopping centers. We have a tight knit crew with very little turnover, most of our people have been together for 15+ years. We are looking for a curious, detail-oriented landscape designer to join our team to contribute ideas to every stage of the project.

What you will be doing:

ยท Visit job sites to develop a design from concept to reality

ยท Assist in pre-construction scope including preparation of submittals and shop drawings

ยท Assist in creating accurate drawings

ยท Prepare materials for client presentations

ยท Producing takeoffs

ยท Collaborate with design/estimating team

ยท Produce Operations and Maintenance Manuals upon project completion

ยท Communicate with vendors and customers, as needed

ยท Material procurement

ยท Balance multiple projects while maintaining design quality and attention to detail

Requited Skills:

ยท Minimum 3-5 years experience in design (landscape or residential preferred)

ยท Strong AutoCAD and graphic skills (SketchUp, Rhino or similar is a plus)

ยท Understanding of construction documentation and coordination

ยท Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe

ยท Strong communication skills

ยท Ability to work independently while contributing meaningfully to the team as a whole

ยท Reliable transportation

This is a full time, in person position, working from our Redmond, WA office with site visits throughout Western Washington. We also have an office in Arlington, WA that you may have to visit on Occasion.
