We offer mini- and full-size C-Arm mobile imaging units for advanced computer-assisted fluoroscopic imaging, providing superior guidance before and during surgical and orthopedic procedures. Our prep/recovery rooms provide privacy and relaxation before and after procedures.
Job Summary:
Santa Fe Surgery Center has an immediate opening for a Full-time Scrub Technician to assist in our busy, fast-paced, AAAHC-certified ASC. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the scrub technician provides equipment, instruments, and supplies for ophthalmic surgery to the surgeon, nurses, and staff. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Preparation of the operating room and assisting the surgeon during procedures.
  • The surgical suite must be equipped and ready, and the safety of the operative environment must be ensured for both the patient and ASC personnel.
  • Working knowledge of surgical equipment and an efficient, organized approach to the instrument tray and sterile fields are required.
Competencies:
  • Experience in cleaning and sterilizing instruments or previous experience/training as a surgical scrub tech.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively with patients, peers, supervisors, and team
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with patients, physicians, and staff
  • Excellent customer service skills are a must!
  • BLS is required within 30 days of the hire date
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency is required
  • 1-3 years of experience as a scrub technician
  • Completion of surgical Scrub training at an approved training Center or equivalent experience.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
  • This is a full-time position located in Lady Lake, FL
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Requires bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling.
  • Requires the ability to lift/move 20lbs - 90lbs
  • High visual acuity is required to identify small instruments and sutures and to maintain a sterile field, along with the ability to hear alarms and communicate.
  • Requires Manual Dexterity, as precise, repetitive hand movements are required to set up instruments, pass tools, and handle delicate equipment.
