In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering outstanding patient care while partnering with our providers to support a wide range of dermatology services. A day in the life:
  • Prepare patients for physical exam and procedures explaining the process and addressing any concerns
  • Assist physician to maintain a good workflow and meet expectations of patients in relation to being on time
  • Monitor patient reactions and progress with documentation, reporting any changes to the providers
  • Responsible for patient education including handing out educational pamphlets, giving verbal instructions, explaining and recommending products, discussing medications and wound care and answering patient questions
  • Perform basic laboratory procedures to include: writing up lab work and pathology, maintaining the laboratory, and reporting lab findings to physician
  • Maintain patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) with thorough documentation throughout the day.
  • Assist with procedures, draw blood, phlebotomy, telephone triage, and administer injections/local anesthesia per physician instructions
  • Set up and prep for MOHS, Re-ex surgeries and lasers and assist with removals
  • Maintain clean, safe and well-stocked exam and operating rooms, sterilize surgical instruments, and assist with laundry
  • Able to identify and assess the need for physician involvement or a potential change in plan of care
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Location: On-site- Omaha, Nebraska
Status:Full-time, Non-Exempt
Current schedule: Monday-Thursday

What you bring to the table:
  • Valid Nebraska RN license, BLS, and BSN is required
  • Demonstrated experience providing top-notch patient care
  • Must be highly motivated, upbeat and fun, responsible, organized and dependable
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Recent graduates will be considered!
  • Previous Dermatology experience not required!
