Dermatology Specialists of Omaha is Hiring - LPN or RN !! 

We are looking for experienced, dermatology Medical Assistants - or LPN's / RN's to come join our team in Omaha, NE 

Summary:

Dermatology Specialists of Omaha is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dermatology care team. The RN will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting providers with dermatologic procedures, performing clinical assessments, educating patients on skin health and treatment plans, and supporting efficient clinic operations.

The ideal candidate is a patient-focused professional with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient dermatology environment. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations and procedures, administering medications and treatments, documenting care in the electronic medical record, coordinating patient follow-up, and maintaining compliance with clinical and safety standards.

This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with dermatologists and medical staff to provide exceptional care for patients with medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic needs.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Rooming patients and documents all vital information
  • Scribing information for the dermatologist
  • Providing post op wound care to patients
  • Drawing blood and suture removal
  • Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
  • Scheduling patient appointments

Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as:

  • Surgical photographs
  • Biopsies – punch, DIF and shave
  • Excisions
  • Electrodessication and curettage
  • I&D
  • Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
  • Phototherapy
  • Injections
  • Koh preps
  • Trichograms
  • Tzank preps
  • Dermabrasion
  • Patch testing
  • Blue light

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Post High School education in a medical support field: 

  • Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
  • Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses, and/or registrations to continue employment
  • Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
  • Must possess organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
