Job Summary
Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner will be part of Essen growing medical professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced primary and/or specialty care to our patients. Responsibilities will include but not limited to, performing physical exams, recording patient medical history, creating care plans and administering diagnostic test.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
  • Take medical histories
  • Perform physical exams, including skin cancer screening exams
  • Diagnose and treat skin conditions, such as acne, eczema, and rosacea
  • Order and interpret tests
  • Perform biopsies, wide excisions, and cryotherapy
  • Develop treatment plans
  • Prescribe medication
  • Provide information about preventive care
  • Perform certain minimally and non-invasive cosmetic procedures, such as Botox injections, laser skin resurfacing, and mild or moderate chemical peels
  • Assist in surgeries, such as Mohs surgery
Qualifications
  • Job Requirements:
    • Master's Degree required
    • Active New York license as a NP and at least 1 year of working experience as a NP in Dermatology
    • Currently New York Controlled Substance and Drug Enforcement Registration
    • Master's degree
    • Graduate of an approved NP Program and a post-graduate training program in surgery or at least one-year equivalent work experience
    • Board Certified
    • Emergency Medicine / Family Practice/Acute Care
    • DOT, BLS, ACLS Preferred
    • Bilingual a plus - Spanish
    • Proven work experience as a NP in Derm
    • Knowledge of EMR Systems preferred
