Job description

The Controls Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the deployment of building and electrical monitoring systems (BMS, DCIM, EPMS) across data center construction projects. This role ensures systems are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with design specifications, while coordinating across vendors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders.

  • Develop detailed scopes of work for controls and site improvement projects

  • Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to align deliverables, requirements, and timelines

  • Lead project meetings, provide status updates, and report progress to Operations Systems and Construction leadership

  • Operate effectively within tight project timelines and fast-paced environments

Technical Oversight

Procurement & Financial Management

  • Support procurement activities includingRFP development, RFIs, vendor evaluations, and purchase order issuance

  • Manage financial aspects of controls construction contracts, ensuring alignment withproject budgets and timelines

Commissioning & Field Support

  • Support and overseecontrols-related commissioning activities

  • Conduct regularsite visitsto active construction projects to verify installation quality and vendor compliance

  • Ensure all work meetsdesign requirements and applicable codes (e.g., NEC)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in controls or electrical construction project management

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or other related engineering degrees preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience working with controls systems in critical environments (e.g., data centers, manufacturing, oil & gas, power)

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Industrial controls systems

    • Engineering documentation and electrical diagrams

    • Standard operating procedures

  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and competing priorities

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
