As a remote-based position, the Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with clients primarily through virtual platforms, yet you will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and case managers based out of our outpatient office in Murfreesboro. Our approach emphasizes communication and teamwork, ensuring that every client's care plan is comprehensive and effectively managed.

• Conduct in-depth assessments and screenings to determine clients' addiction and mental health-related needs, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools and interviews.
• Formulate individualized treatment plans that address not only substance abuse but also any underlying psychological issues, utilizing a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) techniques.
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, employing best practices to facilitate discussions that enhance self-awareness and motivate clients toward recovery.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure integrated care, involving regular discussions to optimize client treatment strategies and interventions.
• Offer education and support resources to clients' families, fostering an inclusive environment where loved ones are educated on the recovery process and their role in it.
• Maintain confidential and accurate client records while adhering to all regulatory and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with established standards in mental health care.

This role focuses on clients struggling with substance use disorders, ranging from alcohol and opioid addictions to other forms of dependency. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we prioritize a compassionate understanding of each individual's path to recovery. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a vital role in developing trust and rapport, helping clients navigate the challenges of addiction and mental health concurrently.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated training or experience in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment methodologies.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices for treating co-occurring disorders is preferred.
• Exceptional counseling and therapeutic abilities, with a proven track record of establishing therapeutic alliances with clients.
• Proficient communication and collaboration skills, necessary for effective teamwork within our integrated care model.

• Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in mental health counseling, specifically in substance abuse or addiction services.
• Experience facilitating group therapy sessions effectively, understanding the dynamics within group settings.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral options for clients transitioning out of treatment.
