Job description

We are seeking a Data Analyst to support complex business reporting, ad hoc analysis, and dashboard development initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills with expertise in SQL, Python, and Tableau to transform data into meaningful business insights. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to create new dashboards, maintain existing reporting solutions, and perform both recurring and ad hoc analysis to support strategic business decisions.
  • Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
  • Contract Duration: 12+ Months
  • Rate Range: $40-50/hr on W2

Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex ad hoc and recurring data analysis to support business and management requests.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau (preferred) or similar BI tools.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Develop Python-based analytical solutions for data processing and automation.
  • Evaluate data quality and identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Create methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting business data.
  • Produce reports and presentations that communicate actionable insights to business stakeholders.
  • Research new data sources and analytical techniques to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver timely solutions.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong experience performing both ad hoc (70%) and recurring (30%) data analysis.
  • Hands-on expertise in SQL for complex data extraction and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience developing and maintaining dashboards using Tableau (preferred) or similar visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
