Job description

Distinctive Home & Health Care is a leading provider of healthcare to serve military installations across the United States. Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and support for each one of our clients. Distinctive Healthcare is currently seeking to hire a full time Dental Hygienist at FCI Phoenix located in Phoenix, Arizona.
Schedule:
Shifts will typically take place between the hours of 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The shift will be up to 8 sessions per day, with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period, if applicable, Monday through Friday, exclusive of Federal holidays. A session will equal one (1) hour. The schedule shall not exceed forty (40) sessions per week.
Duties:
  • Provide dental prophylaxis on inmates who are referred by medical unit staff.
  • Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions to each patient.
  • Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis.
  • Assist the Chief Dentist and Staff Dentist when needed and/or necessary.
  • Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the dentist.
  • Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other instruments as specified by the medical unit staff.
  • Perform necessary paperwork related to dental healthcare and/or medical unit needs.

Qualifications:
  • Certified/licensed as a Dental Hygienist in any State.
  • Dental radiology certification.
  • Anesthesia certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • A minimum of three years of experience is preferred.
