Position: Dental Assistant/Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Location: Quincy, IL

Days/Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:15am-4:15pm and Thursday 7:30am– 4:30pm

Are you a motivated and caring Dental Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive and patient-focused practice? Buffalo Prairie Dental is excited to welcome a new team member who shares our passion for delivering exceptional dental care and creating positive experiences for every patient who walks through our doors.

What we are looking for:

- Experienced Dental Assistant or Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with 1+ years of experience in assisting in 4-handed dentistry as a chairside assistant. - Comprehensive dental knowledge and ability to effectively communicate dental terminology with patients.

- Willing to go above & beyond and assist our patients in accordance with the training you receive to ensure patients receive the best possible service!

- Experience with digital x-rays & Dentrix Ascend Software (a plus!) Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including root canals, oral surgery and sedation dentistry

• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, ensuring a clean and organized workspace. • Take and process dental X-rays.

• Provide excellent chairside assistance and patient care.

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions. • Manage sterilization and infection control protocols.

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

• Support the team with other tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
