Job description


GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction for Dental Materials Lecture (DEN209) for the Fall 2026 semester with classes held Mondays 10:00 - 11:50 am.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Massachusetts Dental / Dental Hygiene License.
  2. Demonstrated teaching experience.
  3. Earned Master's Degree in dental hygiene or related field or Dental Degree.
  4. Recent professional experience in the field utilizing dental materials.
  5. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Previous experience teaching dental materials lecture / laboratory.
  2. Previous experience teaching in a community college setting.
  3. Evidence of current teaching methodologies, including experiences with media, innovative use of evolving instructional technologies in the classroom, and the use of learning management systems such as Moodle.
  4. Skill in implementing active and collaborative learning strategies.
  5. Ability to work cooperatively to calibrate all laboratory sections.
  6. Experience with digital workflow i.e. scanning/Cerec.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale (currently $3,024 for 2-credit course). Clinical/lab content will be paid at hourly rate, pursuant to the relevant contract. Part-time, non-benefited DCE/MCCC Unit position.
