Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION Reports to: Lab ManagerFLSA Status: Non-Exempt Office Location: 483 Middle Turnpike W Manchester, CT ***Must be willing to commute to work every day. Might require relocation to CT*** Position Summary: The Lab Technician fabricates prosthesis by the doctor's prescription. The position requires strong computer skills and experience using computer systems. While prior dental experience is helpful, the dental-specific aspects of the role can be taught through on-the-job training. The position is scheduled for afternoon and evening hours, so the successful candidate must be available to start later in the day and work into the evening. General Duties & Responsibilities: Pours impressions and denture relines and repairs Performs all stages of the prosthetic process Utilizes specialty skills in areas such as orthodontic appliances, complete and partial dentures Maintains lab area in a clean and orderly fashion Builds and repairs dental appliances. Makes full and partial dentures, dental implants, mouthguards, orthodontics, and other dental appliances. All-on-four custom tray and BB.Uses standard dental lab tools, including porcelain ovens and furnaces, pinning equipment, and lathes. Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs), prescriptions, and dental impressions. Collaborates with dentists and other dental lab technicians. Adheres to lab processes and procedures and industry standards. Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned  Qualifications & Skills: Detail oriented Excellent interpersonal communication skills Experience working in a dental officeWillingness to learn and grow Excellent organizational skills to effectively handle multiple tasks Reliable and flexible Self-motivated with the ability to exceed patient expectations Excellent customer service skills Excellent computer skills  Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent Physical Demands: Ability to be physically mobile (stand, walk, reach, climb, bend) and also the ability to stand for prolonged periods throughout the day/work hours when needed Manual dexterity sufficient to operate equipment, Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds occasionally *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
