DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN INFECTION CONTROL PREVENTIONIST

As an Infection Control Preventionist Nurse at our skilled nursing facility you will partner with the Director of Nursing and Medical Director. You will be responsible for providing hands on training for our nursing team. This involves being accountable for decreasing the incidence and transmission of infectious diseases between residents, staff, visitors and the community. You are responsible for implementing and monitoring policies and procedure of the facility which include hands on training.

You ensure that all monthly nursing education it completed by staff and help orient new employees. Most importantly, you will go home knowing that you made a difference in the lives of others!

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Licensed as an RN

  • Previous experience in a long term care facility

  • Previous staff development experience
