โ€ข The Dental Assisting Specialist will report directly to the Dental Program Coordinator and will support the dental assisting program in laboratory course work, instruct students in skills and procedures and will set up and break down supplies and equipment.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
โ€ข Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.
โ€ข Setting up and breaking down equipment and instruments for dental assisting labs.
โ€ข Maintaining equipment and instruments for dental assisting labs.
โ€ข Evaluate student's performance based on specified criteria for dental assisting skills.
โ€ข Assist course instructors in laboratory activities.
โ€ข Participate in teaching methodology courses.
โ€ข Attend all federally or NJ State mandated training to include, but not limited to, right-To-Know and Blood Borne Pathogens.
โ€ข Comply with all safety, fire and smoking regulations.
โ€ข Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
โ€ข Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Certified and Registered Dental Assistant with a New Jersey license.
โ€ข Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
โ€ข Three years' experience in the field, or the equivalent.
โ€ข Member of the American Dental Assistants Association.
โ€ข Current CPR Certification
