Posting Salary Range: $26.16 - $35.38, Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Posting FTE: 1.00

Posting Schedule: Monday - Friday

Posting Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Department Overview

The School of Dentistry shares the mission of the Oregon Health & Science University to provide educational programs, basic and clinical research, and quality patient care and community programs. We strive to foster an environment of mutual respect where the free exchange of ideas can flourish. The dental school prepares graduates in general dentistry and the dental specialties to deliver compassionate and ethical oro-facial health care.

Function/Duties of Position

This Dental Assistant position supports multiple departments within the School of Dentistry based upon clinical needs. The position requires flexibility and willingness to adapt to new situations and processes based upon the specific department that is being supported for each shift.

We are recruiting for 5 open positions at this time.

Required Qualifications
  • Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program OR
  • One year of experience as a chair side Dental Assistant
  • Certification by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry for Radiological Proficiency required for all positions
  • BLS from AHA required. New hires will be enrolled in an OHSU training course and will be required to complete the course during the onboarding process
  • Must have worked as a dental assistant within the last 5 years
