Position Description:
We are seeking a full-time Revit Modeler/Drafter to join our dynamic and growing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering consulting team. The Revit Modeler/Drafter will be tasked with creating and editing MEP Revit and CAD files for design projects and supporting project closeout as-builts. Candidate should have experience performing piping, ductwork, or electrical sizing and coordinating with Architectural, structural, and fire protection sub consultants. All final products Revit and/or CAD files must conform with client CAD standards. To ensure that the correct and or appropriate title block, plotting style (CTB file), layers, line types (LIN file), symbols, scaling, and annotation/text formatting and naming standards are followed.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Create a functioning BIM/REVIT model of new design projects within existing facilities.
  • Creating and revising MEP Revit Models or CAD files in support of MEP design projects within existing facilities.
  • On-Site CAD verification/site walks
  • Consolidating the existing as-built documentation and creating a working Revit model.
  • Ensure all files conform with client Revit/CAD standards.

Educational Requirements:
  • Associates of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited University or equivalent certification or a 2-year Associates/Drafter certification.

Requirements:
  • 5 years CAD experience and a minimum of 1 year of BIM/Revit experience.
  • Have proven experience and be well versed working in and updating Revit/BIM files that contain up to several hundred files and cross-references.
  • Ability to use various software programs to update and produce work products by computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to clear background security investigations for contractors in accordance with VA Directive and Handbook 0710, Personnel Suitability and Security Program.

Communication, Language, and Software Skills
  • Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
  • Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills
