Summary
The Financial Controlling Specialist will play a key role in supporting DSV's financial accounting and reporting processes. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate month-end close activities, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and providing timely and reliable financial information to management. The role will also support internal controls, account reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and financial accuracy across DSV's operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and deadlines.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Maintain and monitor the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring that all entries are properly supported and coded.
  • Guide team members as needed to ensure work aligns with accounting standards and controls.
  • Review and analyze balance sheet accounts, investigating variances and providing explanations to management.
  • Ensure adherence to internal control policies, supporting audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocation, capitalization, and expense recognition.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to streamline accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls.

Educational background / Work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting, financial controlling, or audit.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $65,000-$80,000/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
