Our client is a New York City based High-End, Italian Contract Furniture Manufacturer with offices worldwide.
Job Description
  • Seeking a dynamic Project Manager/Designer with Contract furniture/Demountable/Movable walls experience.
  • Ideal candidate(s) will have prior Design (AutoCAD) & Project Management experience with contract furniture, movable or demountable wall systems and/or industrial partitions.
  • The ability to understand the construction environment to include a competency in reading building plans, layouts, and specifications.
  • Existing relationships with architects and designers.
  • The Project Manager will be a part of an existing Walls department team, and will be responsible for working with clients, architects, designers, general contractors and outside consultants to propose comprehensive Wall solutions.
  • Ability to work with Architects & Design firms
  • Ability to work in a team environment, but will be motivated by growing their own sales
  • Ability to prepare sketches and specifications for office furniture & Demountable walls depicting design concepts prior to manufacturing, including the proper arrangement of furniture and accessories and the coordination of finishes.
  • Compile technical drawings, submittals, lay-outs etc. for document compliance and quote reviews and present findings to company's technical department as well as to architects, dealers, clients and contractors.
  • Confer and liaise with the architect, general contractor and dealers to troubleshoot production issues, to establish and evaluate uniform design concepts for the company's products, and to communicate regarding orders, schedules and confirmations.
  • Participate in new product planning process, including assisting with issues regarding product lines, delivery, installation and site visits

Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in Contract Furniture, Demountable, Glass walls
Ability to work with Architects & Design firms
Ability to work in a team environment, but will be motivated by growing their own sales
Good presentation skills
Good interpersonal skills
Good with sales strategy.
Preferably NY/NJ experience.
