About the Role

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Regional GOTV Directors to join our Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign, supporting Talarico for Texas and Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. Regionals will manage, develop, and support a team of GOTV Organizers to build execute a large-scale voter contact effort across their region. They are responsible for maintaining high-standards of execution via coaching, feedback, and troubleshooting with organizers, solving problems in real time, and ensuring the GOTV Leadership team has insight into the day to day needs of the team on the ground.

This position will begin the week of August 17 and end November 15, 2026.

Compensation Pay

Regional GOTV Directors are compensated at $6,000 per month, with a one-time $500 GOTV Stipend.

Regional GOTV Directors are eligible for generous benefits including health care, vision, and dental insurance and stipends for cell phone and eligible transit.

Union

The Texas Democratic Party staff are proudly unionized. This position is represented by IBEW Local 220. Regional GOTV Directors are eligible for union membership in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

  • Manage and support organizers: Lead a team of GOTV Organizers through weekly one-on-ones, coaching, feedback, etc.
  • Coordinate in-region: Partner with in-region counterparts from other departments and members of the coordinated campaign to align efforts
  • Build a culture of collaboration: Foster accountability, collaboration, learning, and support amidst the fast pace of the campaign.
  • Communication structures: Maintain strong communication structures, including daily check in and check outs, team chats, reporting channels, shared calendars, etc.
  • Share strategy: Share campaign priorities, strategic shifts, and plans to ensure organizers understand how goals contribute to overall success.
  • Drive staging location selection: Ensure staging locations are identified, secured, appropriately equipped, staffed, and prepared to support GOTV operations throughout the region.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems: Respond quickly to challenges to keep organizing programs running effectively.
  • Manage reporting: Collect, analyze, and communicate regional metrics, with increased reporting during GOTV.
Qualifications Need to haves:
  • At least 4 months experience managing a team
  • At least 2 cycles of experience on a campaign
  • Commitment to the Texas Democrats mission and our organizational values, goals, and objectives
  • Task and time management skills
  • Experience planning, setting up, and staffing events
  • Volunteer management or teambuilding acumen
  • Access to a reliable car and drivers license
  • Access to a phone and laptop computer
  • Attention to detail when reviewing documents, organizing personal workspace, and coordinating with volunteers
  • Strong mastery of computer systems like Google Suite, Excel, and online databases
  • There are no formal education requirements for this position
Nice to haves:
  • Experience working or volunteering on electoral, union, or community organizing campaigns a plus
  • Familiarity with Votebuilder, Mobilize, Google suite, and other campaign tools
Time Commitment

This position will begin the week of August 17 and end November 15, 2026.

Regional GOTV Directors work full time and are exempt.

This is an intensive, time-limited role at a pivotal moment for Texas Democrats. Organizers should expect long days and a 6 day workweek beginning in August as the campaign scales toward Election Day. We anticipate working 60+ hours per week and will end the campaign on 7 day work weeks.
