Job Title: Demo Laborer
Department: Construction / Demolition
Reports To: Foreman or Site Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary
The Demo Laborer is responsible for assisting in the demolition and removal of structures, materials, and debris at construction sites. This role requires physical strength, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform demolition work, including dismantling structures, removing materials, and disposing of debris.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic demolition equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials, equipment, and waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Assist with preparation of sites prior to demolition (e.g., covering surfaces, setting up barricades).
  • Support skilled tradespeople and other crew members as needed.
  • Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or site hazards to supervisor.
  • Qualifications
  • Prior demolition or construction labor experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
