Position Title: Production Manager - UAS Manufacturing
Location: Irvine, CA
Position Summary
DZYNE Technologies seeks a Production Manager to lead execution for assigned product lines during early build phases and transition to full-rate production. Initially reporting to Programs, this role manages day-to-day production activities for demo and low-rate builds while providing technical oversight and coordination with engineering.
The Production Manager acts as the single point of accountability for product flow, schedule, and delivery performance across the value stream. This position works with NPI and programs teams to ensure readiness for future production ramps and continuity of leadership as the role transitions to Manufacturing.
The ideal candidate combines manufacturing leadership experience with technical acumen, thrives in a fast-paced Aerospace/Defense environment, and is comfortable managing both operational and engineering interfaces.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Own daily execution and performance of assigned builds (demo, LRIP).
  • Interface across Programs, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure technical and production requirements are met.
  • Support technical aspects of builds: interpret engineering data, resolve build issues, and drive configuration control.
  • Identify and remove blockers to flow; escalate risks early and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead daily management, tier meetings, and production reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement using lean tools and structured problem solving.
  • Prepare for production ramps and transition to full-rate manufacturing leadership.
  • Track and report key metrics including schedule, WIP, throughput, on-time delivery, and internal lead-time (flow time).

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in manufacturing leadership or technical program roles.
  • Proven experience managing production performance and technical coordination.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and flow-based production.
  • Experience in prototype/demo builds, NPI, and production ramp activities.
  • Ability to work across functional boundaries and influence without authority.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.
  • Hands-on leadership style with technical problem-solving capability.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Engineering or Operations preferred.

Salary
Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
