Job description

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on conveyors, sorters, palatalizing machines, stand-alone stretch wrappers, and basic building maintenance. Acts as a material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at the Mobile, Alabama site. This is a first shift role working Monday-Friday, 6 am - 2 pm. Additional Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required. Shared on call will be required.We offer:

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be$28.00to $33.50anhourat the time of posting. Final compensation will bedeterminedbyvarious factorssuch as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will DoInThis Role

  • Repair and maintenance ofMaterial Handling Equipment (MHE)including belt tracking,componentadjustment/replacement,componentlubrication, etc.

  • Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.

  • Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.

  • Create and close work orders intoan assetmanagement system withappropriate datato include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.

  • Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.

  • Locate and track spare parts from inventory.

  • Performs routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.

  • Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.

  • Identifyproblems as they occur and takeappropriate stepsto solve them.

  • Develop andmaintainpositive working relationships across all levels of theorganization.

What We Are Looking For

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Typically, an associate degree or vocational technical training is preferred. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.

  • 2-3 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.

  • Proven experienceinthe areaofresponsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.

  • Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.

  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.

  • Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.

  • Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.

  • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.

  • Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours asrequired.
