Job description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Manager to serve as the first dedicated marketing resource supporting the AWS Global Private Equity (PE) team. This is a unique, high-impact role at the intersection of PE firm engagement and portfolio company (PortCo) demand generation and is intended to generate bi-directional value between PE firms and AWS.
The AWS Global PE team's mission is to help PE investors increase asset value through AWS adoption - from pre-acquisition due diligence through value creation, plan execution, and exit. This role will design and execute ABM strategies that accelerate AWS adoption across PE firms and their portfolio companies, with a focus on Tier 0 and Tier 1 firms and their highest-potential PortCos.
As the inaugural ABM hire for PE, you will operate as a strategic marketing partner to the PE leadership team, building the ABM plan aligned to the PE business strategy

You will develop 1:1 and 1:few ABM campaigns targeting PE Operating Partners, Investment Partners, and PortCo CxOs - driving awareness, engagement, pipeline, and revenue across the PE investment lifecycle. This is a global role reporting into the NAMER Marketing team with the potential to execute globally across NAMER, EMEA, and APJ based on GEO marketing and PE priorities.
Key job responsibilities
PE Firm-Level ABM Strategy: Design and execute account-based marketing plans for Tier 0 and Tier 1 PE firms (e.g., Blackstone, KKR, Francisco Partners, Permira, Thoma Bravo), tailoring messaging to Operating Partners, Investment Partners, and Deal Teams based on their investment thesis and portfolio focus areas.
Portfolio Company Demand Generation: Develop targeted campaigns to drive AWS adoption across PE-backed portfolio companies, with emphasis on Greenfield PortCos, first-100-day post-acquisition engagement, and industry-specific value creation opportunities across FSI, Healthcare/Life Sciences, ISV, Retail, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Education.
GenAI & Strategic Playbook Marketing: Create marketing motions aligned to the PE BD team's strategic playbooks - including GenAI/Agentic AI adoption, VMware migration, carve-outs, database modernization, and Technical Due Diligence support. Develop content and campaigns that accelerate PE portfolio companies from awareness to active adoption.
Executive Engagement Programs: Plan and execute high-touch executive engagement activities including PE-specific Executive Briefing Centers, CxO roundtables, 1:many PortCo events hosted by PE firms, re:Invent programming (PE Executive Summit), PE Thrive forums, and Women's PE Thrive events

Build relationships with PE Operating Partners and Investment Partners at the firm level to unlock portfolio-wide influence.
Content & Thought Leadership Development: Develop PE-specific content including personalized eBooks, case studies (e.g., KKR/Omnissa VMware migration, Blackstone/HealthEdge GenAI), industry insights for Investment Partners, and digital content for multi-channel distribution across email, LinkedIn, content hubs, and event programming. Create differentiated messaging that speaks to both firm-level investors and PortCo technology leaders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with PE BD Managers, firm-aligned Solutions Architects, Specialists, field sales teams, and global marketing counterparts across EMEA and APJC to ensure ABM motions are integrated with BD priorities and the four-tier PE coverage model. Align with field marketing, global campaigns, Partner marketing, and the PEP (PE Partner) program to ensure cohesive market presence.
Measurement & Performance Optimization: Define and track ABM success metrics including pipeline influenced, PE firm engagement scores, PortCo conversion rates, Greenfield-to-Engaged conversion, PPA influence, and revenue attribution

Build reporting dashboards and share results with PE BD leadership and senior marketing leadership. Continuously optimize programs based on performance data and field team feedback and adopt a structured lead tracking framework across all the lead management cycle.
Scalable Playbook & Center of Excellence: Leverage repeatable ABM frameworks, campaign templates, and engagement playbooks that can scale globally as the PE marketing function matures. Document best practices and contribute to the AWS ABM Center of Excellence community

Evangelize ABM best practices across the PE BD organization and demonstrate the value of marketing-led growth for complex ecosystem selling motions.
