Hiring: IFC Certified Firestop Inspector – Delta, Utah

Location: Delta, UT Schedule: 60+ Hours Per Week (Overtime Available) Per Diem: $160/day (Negotiable) Project Type: Large Industrial Construction Project

We are seeking an IFC Certified Firestop Inspector to join our team on a large-scale industrial construction project in Delta, Utah. This position offers consistent overtime, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work on a high-profile industrial project while ensuring firestop systems meet applicable codes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect installed firestop systems to verify compliance with approved designs, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building and fire codes.
  • Perform inspections of penetrations, joints, and fire-resistance-rated assemblies throughout the project.
  • Document inspection findings and maintain accurate reports and records.
  • Identify deficiencies and work with contractors to ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Coordinate with project management, contractors, and quality control personnel to maintain project compliance.
  • Verify firestop materials are installed in accordance with tested and listed systems.
  • Maintain compliance with IFC requirements, project specifications, and site safety standards.

Requirements

  • Current IFC Firestop Inspector Certification (Required)
  • Previous experience inspecting firestop systems on commercial or industrial construction projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of firestop systems, tested assemblies, and applicable building and fire codes.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work 60+ hours per week, including overtime as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to the job site.
