Essential Functions and Principal Accountabilities: 


Data Analytics & Solution Delivery

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize analytics and reporting solutions using modern data platforms and visualization tools.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable reporting, analytics, and self-service data solutions.
  • Perform complex data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain reusable analytics assets, dashboards, semantic models, and data visualizations.
  • Ensure reporting solutions are accurate, consistent, and aligned with enterprise data standards.

Business Partnership & Consultation

  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand business objectives, define key metrics, and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on data availability, interpretation, and analytics best practices.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and document business and technical requirements.
  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Data Stewardship & Governance

  • Promote data governance standards, business glossary usage, and consistent metric definitions.
  • Support data quality initiatives and help identify and resolve data integrity issues.
  • Contribute to metadata, documentation, and data catalog efforts.
  • Champion trusted and responsible use of enterprise data.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate emerging analytics, AI, and data technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
  • Support the organization's transition to modern data platforms and analytics capabilities.
  • Contribute to establishing standards, best practices, and repeatable analytics processes.

Knowledge Sharing & Data Literacy

  • Help educate business partners on available data assets, reporting tools, and analytics capabilities.

Project Participation

  • Participate in enterprise projects as an analytics subject matter expert.

Requirements

Required

  1. Associate Degree in computer science, information systems, business, management, data analytics, or related field or commensurate work experience.
  2. 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting or related disciplines. 
  3. Experience working with enterprise data warehouse and modern analytics platforms.
  4. Strong SQL skills and experience querying large, complex datasets.
  5. Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar visualization platforms.
  6. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
  7. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into analytics solutions.
  8. Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  10. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred

  1. Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, business, management or related field or commensurate work experience .
  2. Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
  3. Experience with semantic models, dimensional modeling or data warehouse concepts.
  4. Experience with data governance, metadata management, and business glossary practices.
  5. Familiarity with Python, SQL automation, AI-assisted analytics or advanced analytical techniques.
  6. Experience promoting data literacy or providing analytics training to business users.
  7. Insurance or healthcare industry experience.
