Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair airport ground support equipment, including tugs, belt loaders, power units, and other specialized machinery. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of equipment critical to airport and airline operations.
Responsibilities
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on ground support equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts and ensure proper equipment functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Respond promptly to service requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Collaborate with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school preferred.
• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance; knowledge of hydraulic systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
