Job description

Job Summary

The Airline Transport Pilot Program Instructor is responsible for delivering ground and simulator-based flight instruction to prepare aspiring airline pilots for Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification. This role provides classroom instruction, advanced simulator training, student coaching, and program administration while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and established training standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver simulator instruction using advanced flight simulators.
  • Conduct FAA-required Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP CTP) instruction.
  • Operate flight simulator equipment and facilitate realistic training scenarios.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide coaching and remediation.
  • Deliver classroom instruction on aviation regulations, aircraft systems, flight procedures, and airline operations.
  • Guide students on flight deck procedures, checklist usage, and operational concepts.
  • Utilize modern training technologies, including virtual reality learning tools.
  • Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials.
  • Maintain accurate student training records and documentation.
  • Assist with certification completion and administrative requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, training standards, and organizational policies.
  • Support continuous improvement of the training program.
Requirements
  • Experience providing flight simulator and classroom instruction.
  • Knowledge of FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program requirements.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, flight procedures, and airline operations.
  • Ability to evaluate student performance and provide effective coaching.
  • Strong communication and instructional skills.
  • Ability to prepare lesson plans and maintain training documentation.
  • Familiarity with advanced flight simulation technology and virtual learning tools.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with FAA regulations and training standards.
